Five Inventions Every Cyclist Should Have

There are a lot of ways cycling is good for the body and the soul. If you like cycling you should discover these latest products and innovations from the bicycling industry.

#1 The invisible bicycle helmet

Design students Anna and Terese took on a giant challenge as an exam project. Something no one had done before. If they could swing it, it would for sure be revolutionary. The bicycle is a tool to change the world. If we use bikes AND travel safe: Life will be better for all.

#2 Bicycle Escalator To Help Climb Hills

Scandinavia is well-known for its efforts to improve quality of life so it’s not surprising they’re came up with this idea. In the city of Trondheim, Norway lies a hill that’s big and steep enough to deter casual cyclists. To help promote cycling in the city and give the environmentally friendly activity a ‘lift’, a bicycle escalator called the Trampe was installed. With this awesome bike escalator cyclist just places a foot on the platform and lets it push him (or her) up the hill with speed about 3-4 miles per hour. 0102

#5 Solar-powered glowing bicycle path

Dutch artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde has created a beautiful and innovative glowing bike path that, when illuminated at night by glowing pebbles and LEDs, looks like Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night painting. We’ve seen similar glowing paths before in the U.K.The kilometer-long bike path, which was created using both glow-in-the-dark technology and solar-powered LEDs, is located in Brabant, the Dutch county where Van Gogh was born and raised. The swirling, glowing forms on the path’s surface will help bicyclists stay on track when they ride at night. van-gogh-starry-night-glowing-bike-path-daan-roosengaarde-1
