One of Google’s most senior executives has broken Felix Baumgartner’s record for the highest parachute jump in history – making him the second person to break the sound barrier.
Alan Eustace, a 57-year-old senior vice president at Google, jumped from over 130,000ft in a specially designed spacesuit. He hit a top speed of 822mph during a freefall that lasted four-and-a-half minutes.
