Dameisha Beach Park in Shenzhen, China, looked like a garbage tip after 480,000 holiday makers descended on the beach to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend. More than 362 tonnes of rubbish was dumped along the beach in a scene that looked more like a disaster zone than a holiday spot. The 160,000-square-metre beach is now a chaotic scene of discarded food and drinks packages, broken sun mats and inflatable toys. It looks terrible, but probably garbage will be cleaned up quickly.
